Cleaning out their rooms

Since it was a yucky day outside we decided it would be a good day to go through some stuff and make a trip to the Goodwill!
The kids each got a trash bag w/the task of getting rid of some unwanted toys. They were both pretty excited to go through and give some of their toys to other little kids (kinda..we donated to the Goodwill). Cole filled up his bag pretty quickly with mostly his favorite stuff! The first thing to go in the bag was his tiger that he sleeps with!! He really argued w/me when I told him I thought we should keep the tiger! The rest of his bag was filled with toys that he plays w/the most...lots of trucks! Since he filled up his bag so fast and I gave him a box to fill w/books which he also filled up pretty quickly!

The tiger, firetrucks, and his school bus are already in the bag and he's moving on to the trucks...

Needless to say, we went back through his bag and rescued some toys that he does actually play with and filled up the bag with some other toys that he's outgrown.
Tonight when we were all snuggled in bed he told me that he had really wanted to give his tiger to another little boy! But, he still snuggled up w/his tiger as usual.

Rylie on the other hand...takes after Meme and couldn't find ANYTHING that she wanted to part with!
Finally after some persuading, I was able to get her to go through her clothes and get rid of the things that didn't fit anymore....we now have a whole bag of clothes for little Gabby! :)

Cole packing up his books...we had to go through these as well...he picked out all of his favorites to give to another little boy!

"Bob" the Builder

In the process of cleaning up their rooms, we came across Cole's tool belt and he had some fun putting all of his tools in it and wearing his construction hat. It was pretty darn cute listening to him call himself Bob the Builder and reciting the "Can we fix it...Yes we can!". In no time at all he had his screwdriver out working on his doorknob and asking me what else he could fix! :)

Sacred Meadow Montessori

Ms. Carolyne hosted an Open House tonight at the new Sacred Meadow Montessori school.
She purchased a house in Accident and has turned it into a Montessori daycare center. The kids will still be going on Wednesdays and Fridays as ususal and love the new location! It's a pretty cute place w/lots of activities for the kids to work on.
They had lots of fun going back to school tonight and spending some extra time w/some of their friends.

Ellie, Cole, Rylie and Madison acting goofy in front of the "birthday tree". The kids each have their name and birthday written on a leaf. Rylie and Cole were excited to show me their leaves!

Cute little girls!

We walked down to the Yough and the kids had fun playing in the sand. Of course, they wanted to get in the water...but we convinced them it was too cold!
