Our skiing adventure

Curtis and I took advantage of our free lift tickets and hit the slopes at WISP for a day of fun!
It was 3 degrees when we woke up this AM...but the sun was shining and the wind was calm.
It's been well over 10 years since either of us have gone skiing...so I was actually pretty surprised at how well we did!
After a few trips down the Easy trails we were hitting the Intermediate slopes!
It was a lot of fun and a nice post-birthday celebration!

yay! we survived our skiing adventure...no broken bones...and we didn't even fall! :)

Happy Birthday to Me

We went to Sand Springs in Frostburg for a birthday dinner.
Yummy food!!!

And, enjoyed the cake that Mimi brought along...decorated by Rylie!
After Mimi marked out "happy birthday", Rylie placed the chocolate chips in all by herself!

We ended up w/another 1/2" of ice on Friday morning. Our driveway is now about 4-5" of packed slick ice...a total mess!!
Can't wait until we can walk to the car without falling down!

We visted an old Sugar Shack that was probably built in the early 1900's?
There were huge sugar maples all around...but we couldn't find any remaining taps from the maple sugar operations of long ago.
