Hovatters Zoo

Back on June 13th, the kids and I stopped by the Hovatters Zoo in Kingwood, WV on our way home from Morgantown.
They enjoyed seeing the animals....even though it's sad to see them caged up!

Prairie Dogs

Rylie feeding a bear...the idea of the animals in cages really bothers me, and even more so to see them begging for food!
I did buy a bag of food and the kids enjoyed feeding them, so I guess I'm a supporting that behavoir...but it's still very sad.
I wish they could all be FREE and WILD like they should be!

Floating down the Yough

On Saturday, we were fortunate enough to float the release on the "upper upper yough" in the early afternoon AND from Friendsville to the Yough Lake in the evening!
Casey and Xander were already down for a visit and we were also joined by our other cousin Mike! :)
It was a fun family day on the river!!

We were all exhausted at the end of the day...but it was absolutely worth it!
